General Registration Information

The 2023 Great Lakes Homeland Security Conference and Expo will be held May 9 - 11 at the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is hosted in partnership by the Michigan State Police, Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Since it began in 1999 with just 75 individuals attending, the Great Lakes Homeland Security Training Conference has continued its purpose of enhancing the capabilities of those who protect our homeland. Hosting many dynamic speakers, such as Chief David Brown, Oliver North, Colin Powell, Martin Dempsey, Rudy Giuliani, Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, Marcus Luttrell, and many more, the conference has continued to grow each year, attracting over 1,000 attendees in 2022.

  • The registration fee will be $400 for the full registration period of January 24 - April 14. There will be no on-site registration. Please prepare to pay by credit card when you register.
